In this episode  ” H2 with Denise Billen-Mejia, Health and Hypnosis”  Denise chats with Cheryl Elman.  Cheryl, and her husband Larry Elman, founded the “Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute”, a Hypnosis Training Resource Center based on the seminal teachings of Larry’s father, Dave Elman.

80 years ago, a hypnotist could take 20 minutes, or more, Dave developed a 1-4 minute induction. After seeing a demonstration a few doctors approached him to see how they could utilize it in their own work and his traveling classes for Physicians and Dentists, throughout the US, was born. He taught thousands of medical professional throughout the 1940-60s

Originally titled “Findings in Hypnosis” and republished as “Hypnotherapy” his single published work is still in print and many consider him to be one of the greatest hypnotists of all time.

Denise Billen-Mejia MD, Consulting Hypnotist and Coach worked for two decades as a clinician in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine and now, retired from medicine, she actively seeks opportunities to educate physicians and the public about hypnosis.
